This morning in pictures and imagined conversations.

LOL, no.

LOL, no.

Last weekend we visited family a few hours north and it snowed. This Sunday it was 60 degrees and sunny in Brooklyn, signaling 1) SPRING IS HERE! and 2) Time for Suki to get a haircut, beginning with the oversized mittens that are her paws.*

*We have to do haircuts in stages because she HATES it. Look at that stank face! This week: paws and pantaloons. Next week: belly and mane. Still debating whether or not to do something like this for summer, if only because it would be hilarious. [image via Boo’s facebook]

I played this for Suki and all she did was raise an eyebrow as if to say “This is what impresses you? Really?” Then she went back to sleep.

We went to California for Thanksgiving so we asked my family to house Suki upstate until our return. This is today’s AM photo update (courtesy of my sister).

But Suki was all “Cat, please.” and eventually our sour pussed observer ceased the relentless staring, leaving our playtime to end happily (with a chicken treat).

Pictured: an injured Suki gets a personal escort from backyard to house.

She’s on day five of pain killers and strictly enforced rest for that hurt paw but every time she’s allowed outside she starts jumping around like a puppy on speed. We suspect she was never actually hurt, it was just that she didn’t feel like walking, a la Mimi.

So Suki apparently now hates Alex. She refuses to accompany him on a walk alone unless I at least pretend like I’m coming too and if she’s on the bed cuddling and I get out of bed for whatever reason but Alex is still there she gets up as soon as she realizes I’m gone. Also she expects him to pick up her poop ALWAYS. Literally she does her thing, looks at him for a split second like “bitch, you know what to do” then walks away without looking back. Sometimes she waits for him to catch up, mostly she doesn’t. Alex is slightly distraught by this (kind of hilarious) development.
